The Pinot Noir is our connecting thread. From Burgundy, its birthplace, this fine and noble grape variety draws its original delicacy, though varying from plot to plot – variations that are amplified by the intervention of the wine-makers, our "viniculturalists".

Our Pinot Noir is capable of expressing itself with equal magnificence in the terroirs we have chosen for it, not just in France but also across the sea in continental America: California, Chile, Uruguay, Canada. It makes demands human skill, imposes its personality, and displays its elegance in the precious wines it yields us.

The sober restraint of Burgundy's wines, shaped by terroir, vintage and elevage, is brought to perfection by the hand of man. Their luscious fruit, which can reach exuberance in the American Pinot Noirs, expresses a wide palette of scents and flavours: small red fruits, cooked fruit, woody vanilla, multiple flower perfumes, and, with age, borrowings from the world of spices, leather, musk, underbrush...

So we choose to organise the diversity of our wines, from whichever of our terroirs they originate, around a single source of excellence.

Today's Pinot Noir is exceptional in that it can be enjoyed in its youth and throughout its life, at any point in its voyages through time and space, with an equal but different kind of pleasure... but always with feeling.
