Since 1976, Louis Bernard has brought together
the winemakers of the Rhône Valley in
a common project: to give the best of their vines and savoir-faire
to produce great wines.
In addition to the winemakers, Louis Bernard brings
together all of the dealers and clients concerned by wine and its
quality from the very beginning of the process. This common goal offers
winegrowers the comfort of only having to worry about their wines
and vines.
The quality of the wine itself is guaranteed in the process.
Louis Bernard wines are fruity, concentrated, supple
to start and take on a fullness in
the mouth with their light tannins. Their aromatic complexity and
structure render them accessible early, even if they do age very well.
Despite its common approach to production, Louis Bernard
is concerned with respecting the differences and specificity of each
wine. Particular attention is thus given to the characteristics of
the grapes and terroirs, as well as to certain unknown appellations
that Louis Bernard wishes to highlight.
The Chartreuse de Bonpas, a fortified 12th
century convent, is located near Avignon
at the heart of 18 hectares of vines. The maison Louis Bernard is
based here in enchanting surroundings on the banks of the Durance
River.
